About Global Chessboard

Founded by Jared Martin, Global Chessboard Intelligence Group draws upon more than 15 years of experience in intelligence, investigations, and national security. Throughout his career, Jared has supported organizations including the U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, and the FBI’s Threat Screening Center, providing analytical support, threat assessments, counterintelligence expertise, and strategic research to senior leaders and decision-makers.

His experience includes leading a counterintelligence team supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan, advising government stakeholders on complex security issues, and transforming large volumes of information into clear, actionable assessments. His professional background spans intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, investigations, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and strategic forecasting.

Jared earned a Master of Arts in International Policy & Practice from The George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs and is currently pursuing a PhD in Security Studies. His research interests include intelligence modernization, emerging technologies, information warfare, disinformation, and the evolving character of conflict in the twenty-first century.
